How to Navigate the User Forum

  1. Go to http://cbms.psa.gov.ph/MISopen in new window and log in using the registered account.

  2. Go to the User Forum by clicking on the “Forum” button on the sidebar menu.

  3. After clicking the forum button, the user will be redirected to the CBMS forum landing page.

  4. For easy navigation, the CBMS User Forum has ‘Quick Links’ where the user can access the following:
    • Your posts
    • New posts
    • Unread posts
    • Unanswered topics
    • Active topics
    • Search

User Forum Features

  1. Users can view topics allowed for their role.
  2. Users can create a new topic or reply to an existing topic.
  3. Users can attach pictures, files, video links, or emojis when posting a reply or new topic.
  4. Users can send private messages to one (1) or more users at a time.
  5. Users can embed a video from external source as long as it is accessible to anyone.

Posting a topic

  1. Choose from the given topic categories.

  2. Under the chosen category, create a new topic by clicking on the “New Topic” button.

  3. Indicate the following:

    • subject of the concern/issue
    • concern/issue

  4. The user can tag/mention a specific user in the post by using “@”.

  5. Post the concern by clicking the “Submit” button.

    The user can also check a preview of his/her post by clicking on the “Preview” button.

  6. Successfully created topic will be reflected immediately.

Replying in a Post

  1. If a user is mentioned by another user, he/she will be notified.

  2. Go to the “Notifications” tab and click the new item.

  3. The user will then be redirected the post where he/she was mentioned. To reply, click on the Post Reply” button.

  4. After encoding the reply, click on the “Submit” Button.

4.1 Successfully posted replies will be reflected immediately.

5. The user who posted the issue/concern will be notified if he/she got a reply in his/her post.

6. A topic may be tagged as ‘resolved’ by either the admin or the one that posted. This can be done by clicking the icon for “Quick Mod tools” and clicking on the “Lock topic” button.

7. If a new user raised a concern that was already answered previously, he/she can be referred to the resolved topic by giving him/her the url of the resolved concern.

Sending Private Messages

  1. A user can send another user a private message by going to the private messages tab.

    The following are the steps in sending a PM:

  2. Click on the "New PM" button.

  3. Add a recipient by clicking on the "Find a member“.

  4. Add a recipient by clicking on the "Find a member“.

  5. From the list, select a recipient by pressing the "Select" button.

  6. Once a recipient is selected, press the 'Add' button.

  7. Indicate a subject then encode the message.

    Click on the "Submit" button.

  8. The sender can also attach photos or videos to the PM. He/she can track if the receiver downloaded the attached photo/video by checking the message that he/she sent.

  9. There will be an indicator if the receiver downloaded the attachment and how many times it was downloaded.\

  10. To attach video, click this icon.

  11. Then paste the URL of the video in the message box.

  12. The user can also check a preview of his/her post by clicking on the “Preview” button.

Communication Guidelines

  1. All queries of the focal persons of the PSOs should be directed to the focal persons in the RSSOs.

  2. Focal persons in the RSSOs to address the questions raised by the focal persons in the PSOs.

  3. Those queries needing action or feedback from CO will be forwarded by the focal persons in the RSSOs to the focal persons in the CO.

  4. The following are the focal persons in the CO and will be moderating the discussions in the 2022 CBMS User Forum via the CBMS MIS:

  1. Responses should be made within 2 working days.
  2. If there are findings that cannot be addressed within the said timeline, the following shall be undertaken by CO:
    • Applications and systems concerns: CBSS to file via ISITS and assign the concerns to SDD/ITDS. SDD/ITDS to respond and give feedback within 2 working days upon receipt in ISITS. SDD/ITDS to issue feedback in 2022 CBMS User Forum.
    • Standard protocols concerns: CBSS to acknowledge, discuss and will issue errata/advisory.
    • Administrative and coordination support: CBSS to discuss and will issue announcements/advisories/memo.
